Training Choir

Mixed voices in school years 7 – 11

The London Youth Training Choir is a large, auditioned, SATB choir, for boys and girls in school years 7 – 11 (ages 12-16). The Training Choir allows young people to develop their skills in singing, SATB harmony, performance and musicianship through professional vocal and musical coaching, as well as building individual confidence. Members of the Training Choir perform a variety of repertoire encompassing several languages, and are privileged to perform in a number of exciting venues including, most recently, at Milton Court with the London Vocal Project and at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the My Christmas Orchestral Adventure performances. Boys with both changed or unchanged voices are welcome to apply to the Training Choir, with extra support offered to male singers going through vocal change through regular vocal assessments and peer mentoring with older male singers.
