The Great War Symphony is a new choral symphony by Patrick Hawes. The work has been produced in aid of SSAFA, to commemorate the centenary of the First World War. The complete work will be premiered in London’s Royal Albert Hall on 9th October 2018 in partnership with Classic FM as part of the national commemorations to mark the end of the centenary.

The concert will bring together choirs from across the country including the London Youth Choir and National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, guest soloists and military musicians.

Through radio and television broadcast to millions, the event will promote the scope of the critically important work of SSAFA, the oldest tri-service charity focussed on supporting Armed Services families.
