We are delighted to have taken part in The Childhood Trust Christmas Give 2017.

The Big Give 2017 has now finished, raising a staggering £18,999. Thank You!

From midday Tuesday 28th November – midday Tuesday 5th December, all donations made to LYC via The Big Give website were doubled through the generous support of The Childhood Trust and Andy Roberts, a member of the LYC Development Committee. All the money raised will be put straight to work in enabling LYC to fulfil its mission to include children across the 33 boroughs of London irrespective of their background or financial circumstances. We are incredibly grateful to all those who supported the campaign through donating and spreading the word. Thank you!

About The Big Give
From a week in autumn 2017, donations from £5 – £5,000 made to the London Youth Choir via the Big Give website were matched pound for pound. In other words, for every £1 donated, LYC received £2, at no extra cost to the donor. The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK’s largest match funding campaign which last year raised over £7.2 million for participating charities. It is a core part of LYC’s annual fundraising activity, raising over £16,000 in 2016, and over £18,000 in 2017.

Donations can be made outside of the 28th Nov – 5th December via the Big Give, and all contributions are gratefully received. Please note that they will not be matched.

The Project 2017
The aim of the 2017 Challenge was to raise £15,000 towards the London Youth Choir Bursary Fund. At the London Youth Choir it is our aim that no young person should be deterred from applying to join because of financial hardship. The proposed Bursary Fund will provide much needed support for those families who are on low incomes and unable to fund their child’s place in one of the choirs.
