The Childhood Trust Christmas Give 2016

The London Youth Choir was delighted to be taking part in The Childhood Trust Christmas Give 2016.

From Tuesday 29th November – Friday 2nd December, all donations made to LYC via The Big Give website were doubled through the generous support of The Childhood Trust. These donations will ensure that no talented young person is prevented from accessing musical training via LYC due to financial circumstances.

About The Childhood Trust Christmas Give
From midday on 29th November until 2nd December, any donations from £5 – £5,000 made to the London Youth Choir via the Big Give website were matched pound for pound by The Childhood Trust. In other words, for every £1 donated, LYC received £2, at no extra cost to the donor. LYC would like to thank everyone who supported the campaign in 2016, which raised over £16,000 towards vital core funding.

Donations can be made outside of the 29th Nov – 2nd December, however they will not be matched.

The Big Give Christmas Challenge is the UK’s largest match funding campaign which last year raised over £7.2 million for participating charities.

The Project 2016
The aim of the 2016 Challenge was to raise £15,000 towards the London Youth Choir Bursary Fund.  At LYC we believe that for young people, music can be the difference between a life truly lived and that only passively experienced. We are firmly committed to ensuring that our work is accessible to all young singers across London.
