Greg Link

Assistant Leader 

Greg studied at The University of Nottingham, McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and at the Royal Northern College of Music Junior Department, close to where he grew up in Cheshire. When not working with LYC, Greg sings with London- based a cappella quintet Apollo5 and enjoys a busy schedule of concerts, recording, and education projects with the vocal ensemble around the UK and abroad. He has also worked as a music tutor and consort leader for both the Boys’ Choir and Training Choir of the National Youth Choirs of GB and loves conducting St Alfege Youth Choir in Greenwich.

He also has a passion for acting, having performed with the National Youth Music Theatre, in productions at the National Portrait Gallery and Aldeburgh’s High Tide Festival, and has worked with a number of London-based theatre companies as a vocal coach. Further education work includes leading workshops in partnership with the BBC, UK and international music festivals, and many schools, universities, and music hubs. Greg has held singing positions at cathedrals, churches and chapels in Auckland, Montréal, London and Nottingham.
