Devoted to community arts and cultural development, Cathy is passionate about freedom in creativity and equal access to arts provision, breaking down barriers and promoting lifelong learning. Working in arts management, music teaching and performing for over a decade, she has developed programmes targeting groups from a diverse range of socio-economic backgrounds, gaining an understanding of their challenging social, cultural and educational needs.

After graduating from Goldsmiths University of London with a Masters in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy she has led creative learning and professional projects working at renowned organisations including the Royal Opera House, Wigmore Hall Learning, Britten Sinfonia and British Council. She has supplemented her professional arts practise with board positions at the European Music Council; European Choral Association; the CentrE17 and in the Music Education Council’s Singing Working Group. A fully qualified teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Music, she also has a solid grounding in teaching in schools from EYFS to KS5. Cathy is also a keen choral singer, a core member of the Epiphoni Consort and sings professionally around London.
