Aspire Workshop Leader
Alex began working in choral music at the tender age of 11, singing at a church in Cookham Dean. This instilled a desire to perform and share music and since then his education has been aimed at making a life out of performance, education and the sharing of song with everyone.
As a soloist and chorus member, Alex has worked with many opera houses, including English National Opera, Grange Park Opera and The Grange Festival as well as being educated by names such as the Associated Studios, British Youth Opera and The Berlin Opera Academy. In regards to choral work he regularly sings at St. Paul’s cathedral, Royal Hospital Chelsea and Croydon Minster.
Alex’s work as a choral animateur began with Apollo5, an A cappella quintet based in london with a passion for education as well as performance. For five years Alex led many of their educational projects, working with groups ranging in size from two to 750. Outside Apollo5, Alex has also worked with the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, Aliquando choir and Hull University chamber choir. When not prancing around on stage, Alex enjoys walks with his canine companion, Barney.
