The Board of Trustees are delighted to announce that Nina Camilleri will be joining the London Youth Choir (LYC) team in the autumn in the new role of Executive Director.
Chairman, Stuart Barr, said: Nina’s appointment as Executive Director is a very exciting moment in London Youth Choir’s history. She’ll bring immense experience at the highest level to the organisation, and help us achieve our goal of becoming London’s flagship choral organisation of international calibre.
Formerly with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, Scottish Opera, Opera North and currently the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain, Nina brings to the LYC a wealth of experience in the fields of development and strategic planning. On her appointment, Nina commented:
“I am delighted to have been appointed to the role of Executive Director. In the short time since its inception, the London Youth Choir has clearly demonstrated its belief in the transformative effects of choral music. It is now at a pivotal juncture where its principles and potential can be more broadly and ambitiously realised. I look forward to leading the organisation into a new era of productivity and creative excellence.”
The LYC has exciting plans in place for its next phase of development. With Nina Camilleri in place as its new Executive Director, the organisation can now look forward to achieving its long term vision and enabling even more young people in London to reap the benefits of being part of a top quality choral organisation.
