We are delighted to announce that LYC has raised £20,000 towards our Junior Apprentices scheme, through the Childhood Trust Christmas Give 2015. The staff, members and supporters of LYC would like to thank all those who helped make this possible, we are continuously grateful for your support.

From 4th – 14th December, The Childhood Trust, via The Big Give, offered the opportunity for all donations to LYC to be doubled. This was made possible with the additional generous support of the Ustinov Foundation. All money raised will support the LYC Junior Apprentices Scheme, ensuring that no young person is excluded from furthering their education due to financial difficulties.

Through partnering with primary schools in areas of high deprivation, LYC’s Junior Apprenticeship scheme aims to remove all barriers and welcome up to 30 children into its Junior Choirs. This will offer the apprentices the opportunity to participate in exceptional musical training in a supportive environment, providing them with experiences that will last a lifetime, whilst ensuring that no talented young person is excluded due to financial circumstances.
