About LYC

The London Youth Choir exists to provide young people within Greater London with a high quality choral education through regular musical training and high-caliber performance opportunities. Our vision is to inspire young people from all backgrounds to achieve the highest possible standard in choral singing, musicianship and vocal production in a supportive and welcoming community.

Membership of our five choirs is by audition and open to anyone aged 7-21 who can commit to rehearse on Monday evenings during term time in the City of London. Auditions are held during the first week of each school term and financial support is available so that no talented child is denied the opportunity to audition or join. Alongside our five choirs we run ‘Aspire’, an education and outreach project with our three partner music education hubs Camden, Southwark and Hackney.

London Youth Choir is a registered charity and we are continuously grateful to all those who support our work.
